Personally, I'm VERY partial to a lovely little place with an ocean pier view that rests at the end of Newport Avenue in Ocean Beach (OB), San Diego called "South Beach." But, that's just me.

Sol Cantina on Martini Corner has great fish tacos. AND another spot you might not think to go is Cafe Sebastienne at Kemper Museum. Great fish tacos there served with black beans. Don't forget the flourless chocolate torte.
AAAAAAAH! You're killing me with the San Diego references... I went to PLNU, so South Beach was a regular stop of ours. *Sigh* Miss it mucho, but I can't complain much on a day like today. :)
